With premierships just weeks away from being decided, now is the time for big-game players to step up.
Here are the flag shapers:
CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION
Harry Birkman, Mordialloc
The teenage Lancashire fast bowler has provided plenty of firepower while racking up 21 wickets at 13.
Charles Bourne, Mentone
The right-arm seamer from Treeton in the Yorkshire Premiership League has had a big impact this season, taking 22 wickets at 20 to jointly lead the competition.
Michael De Iacovo, South Caulfield
The ex-St Kilda opener has got South off to strong starts all season and his leadership and ability to score quickly will be crucial in finals.
Comrey Edgeworth, Mentone
The former Premier Cricket batsman has shown class and determination in four half-centuries this season, racking up over 360 runs in the top order for the Tigers.
Brad Erasmus, South Caulfield
Remains the most coveted wicket in CSB. A prolific run scorer and a proven big game performer.
Dane Heverin, Mentone
The Tigers captain is crucial to his side’s success. His two highest scores this season have come when he’s taken the game on.
Callum Dodson, Bonbeach
The former Casey South Melbourne paceman took on the Sharks captaincy this season and has done an excellent job, leading from the front with regular wickets.
Jak Jowett, South Caulfield
The former Premier Cricket left-arm paceman showed how destructive he can be with a haul of 6-23 against Mordialloc, including three wickets in his first 18 balls.
Yoshan Kumara, Mordialloc
The Springvale South premiership player is one of the competition’s leading all-rounders and is sure to have a big say in finals.
Alex Mason, South Caulfield
The English left-arm off-spinner has had a big impact this season, bowling long spells and proving hard to hit.
Josh O’Donnell, South Caulfield
Has churned out runs all season (he’s averaging a touch under 50) as a key figure in South’s top three.
Jack Plom, Mordialloc
Fast and fiery, the 25-year-old Englishman is always a threat with ball and bat.
Tom Smith, Bonbeach
The explosive opener has been steady rather than sensational in recent matches but you sense there’s a big score around the corner. His spin bowling is also key.
George Thomas, Bonbeach
The former England U19 opener showed his class with an unbeaten 100 against Beaumaris on February 15. That followed successive half centuries. In great form.
Michael Waller, Mentone
Determined and talented, the English all-rounder has led from the front as Mentone’s club coach with his batting and spin bowling.
DIVISION 1
Adam Ahmed, McKinnon
A quality left-arm spinner who possesses good flight and a deadly faster ball. Will be crucial in finals.
Cian Dickinson, Carnegie
The leg-spinner has taken 24 wickets to lead the competition and has proven to be an important batter in the top order.
Tim Drummond, Parkdale United
The former Premier Cricket all-rounder has been in cracking form at the top of the batting order, with successive half-centuries. Will play a key role in finals.
Conway Gilbert, Parkdale United
The former South Caulfield premiership paceman has taken two five-wicket hauls this season and looms as a key figure in finals.
Wade King, McKinnon
The champion has plundered three centuries and 721 runs this season already, to go with 14 wickets. He’s determined to lead McKinnon to an overdue premiership.
Daniel Lloyd, Parkdale United
The Englishman can dominate a game. Showed his class after Christmas with 100 and then 58 opening the batting, and has been a consistent wicket taker with his left-arm spin.
Flynn McGaw, Dingley
The left-arm spinner is averaging 13 with the ball this season and looks set to play a big role in finals.
Ryan McLean, Dingley
The left-hander is a proven century-maker with a big appeite for runs. He’s averaging 92, having churned out 553 runs, including two unbeaten centuries, this summer.
Tarek Moughanie, Dingley
The experienced opener smacked 100 off 66 balls against Aspendale and will be a key figure in the heat of finals.
Saumil Patel, Carnegie
The hard-hitting batter and left-arm mystery spinner is always in the game, a key figure for the Neggie.
Suraj Rao, Carnegie
The elegant opener with a booming cover drive can be relied on to get the Neggie off to a strong start.
Tarun Rabari, Carnegie
Has played several terrific knocks, including 70, 83 and 116, in the top order.
Reece Taylor, McKinnon
Has played several crucial innings at the top of the McKinnon batting list, including three successive half-centuries.
