He’s done it again.

Camberwell Magpies big hitter Chris Thewlis has blitzed the bowling while appearing as a marquee player for Rye in a Mornington Peninsula Twenty20 match on Tuesday night.

Thewlis blasted 63 off 21 balls (7 sixes, 4 fours) as Rye chased down Boneo’s 5-99 in only 7.5 overs at Rowley Reserve.

One of his sixes landed in a skate bowl at a nearby skate park.

Rye opener Nathan Hunt played the anchor role, making a more-than-respectable 38 not out.

Thewlis grabbed headlines when he made 237 off 72 balls for Camberwell Magpies in a Premier seconds game last season.

Last month he cracked 45 off 18 balls (5 fours, 3 sixes) for Rye in the opening round of the T20 Jack Peacock Cup.

Thewlis is pals with Rye captain Jordan Blades. They’re both from Wangaratta.

Rye has won two of its three T20 games to sit second on the south conference ladder.
