Blazing batting raised the temperature in the annual Victoria versus NSW winter cricket battle at Gladstone Park on Sunday.
The Vics scored a rousing win, fuelled by a barrage of sixes pinging from the bats of Marcus Murphy, Satheesh Fernandu and Ryan Bonnici.
Murphy clobbered four over the fence in a knock of 52 not out as the Vics put up 225 off 35 overs.
NSW, in reply, was held to 9-158.
