Sparkies, plumbers and builders: Here are Victoria’s best tradies

The hunt is on to find out who are the best tradies in the nation and these folks have made the top of the list for Victoria.

The hunt is on to find the best tradie across Australia, and these 56 will be representing Victoria in the battle to be crowned the best at what they do.

The competition includes everyone from solar technicians to sign makers and they will go head-to-head in the Australian Trades Small Business Champion Awards in Sydney on September 22 across 47 categories for every expertise.

Each business will be assessed on a criteria including customer service, quality of products, staff training initiatives, environmental sustainability and contribution to the community, by 30 judges representing a variety of trade industries.

Awards founder and managing director Steve Loe said the awards were about giving tradies the opportunity to be recognised for their hard work.

“Tradies are the backbone of Australian society, a third of Australia’s workforce are in a trade and the awards gives them the opportunity to be publicly acknowledged for their hard work and service, ” he said.

“It’s a very physically taxing career and those who perform to a high standard deserve to be recognised for their contribution to the community and exceptional customer service.”
