Two glamorous Melbourne lawyers accused of hoodwinking a suburban court with a false medical certificate for a client have been “excused” from their latest hearing.
ZD Legal’s Zoe Davis, 34, and Rachelle Badour-Taha, 25, were scheduled to appear before Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday for a committal mention and an application to allow them to cross-examine witnesses in their case.
However, the hearing was administratively adjourned and neither woman fronted court.
The women were earlier charged with perverting the course of justice, attempting to pervert the course of justice and using a false document.
The charges stemmed from a case before Frankston Magistrates Court in September when the lawyers were alleged to have used a falsified hospital document on behalf of one of their clients, Alana Digby, who was facing driving charges.

Ms Digby did not attend the hearing, but was able to avoid a warrant being issued for her arrest after Magistrate Gerard Bryant accepted the false document was genuine.
The document claimed Ms Digby had a hospital appointment on the day of her hearing.
Friday’s hearing for Ms Davis and Ms Badour-Taha was moved to February, 2025.
The case was previously adjourned in October to allow police to continue to prepare the brief of evidence.
