A man had to be removed from court by security after a vile outburst after he was busted bringing into the Dandenong Law Complex.
Zaim Salievski pleaded guilty in the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on October 1 after he attempted to bring a box cutter into the courthouse.
Salievski tried to go through security with the box cutter hidden in his bag on July 28 in 2022 when attending court for another matter.
The court heard the box cutter was picked up when his bag was scanned and two protective service officers detained Salievski.
He was arrested and the box cutter was seized.
Salievski told police he wanted the knife back because he “paid for it”.
“I was cutting laminate in my house and forgot it was on my keys,” he said.
In court on Tuesday, Salievski said he lived in a boarding house and his belongings “often go missing”.
“I knew I had it on me, I wasn’t hiding it,” he said.
“I knew I couldn’t come into court with it so I thought the security would hold it so I could collect it on the way out.”
He told Magistrate Nunzio La Rosa the knife had cost him $1000 and wanted it back.
Mr La Rosa refused and fined Salievski $100 with conviction.
Unhappy with the decision, Salievski began a verbal tirade of abuse towards Mr La Rosa and police officers present in the court.
“F—k you dogs, I’m going to sue you all,” he said.
“It’s my knife, I want it back.
“I’m going to appeal this, it’s bullsh-t.”
Salievski was removed from the courthouse by protective service officers.
