YouTubers Chunkz and Sharky surprise fans with Dandenong plaza shopping trip

Two popular British YouTubers have received a celebrity-like reception from hundreds of fans after a surprise appearance at a shopping centre in Melbourne’s southeast.
Social media in Melbourne blew up on Wednesday after it was revealed YouTube personalities Chunkz and Sharky, who have more than 4m subscribers between them and are part of the Beta Squad channel, were seen roaming around Dandenong plaza at about 3pm.
The pair were swarmed by hundreds of fans trying to get a glimpse as they were ushered through the centre by security.
It was not long before word got out on social media, particularly on TikTok.
“I just came to buy some clothes,” one user said while panning to the crowd of fans following the pair through the centre.
A centre management employee said they had “no idea” the pair were coming to the plaza.
Chunkz has nearly 3m subscribers on his channel, which consists of vlogs, prank and various challenge videos.
The YouTuber and his team are no strangers to Melbourne, having visited Miss Collins nightclub in March.
