Trio of teens arrested after alleged burglaries and assault on elderly woman
Three teenagers have been arrested after a string of alleged aggravated burglaries in Mornington.

Three teenagers have been charged over a string of alleged aggravated burglaries in Mornington earlier this month.
Police arrested the teens following multiple aggravated burglaries between June 8 and 9.
It’s alleged an offender entered a property on Nunns Rd, Mornington and stole personal items about 2am on June 8.
It is then alleged the teens returned to the Nunns Rd property just before midnight on the same day.
An elderly woman was inside the property at the time and was allegedly confronted and assaulted by one of the teen offenders before they allegedly stole her Hyundai I30.
It’s alleged the same offenders then entered a property on Nelson St, Mornington just after midnight on June 9 where a grey Toyota HiLux and a white 2008 Mazda BT50 utility were allegedly stolen.
The stolen Hyundai, Mazda and Toyota have all been recovered by police in the Mornington area undamaged.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested and released pending further inquiries.
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle, theft, commit Indictable offence on bail and has been remanded to face a children’s court at a later date.
A 16-year-old boy will be charged on summons with theft of motor vehicle.
