A trip to Mornington wouldn’t be complete without brunch with the boys.
The Boyz 4 Breakie have been a treasured haunt for locals and visitors for more than two decades and now the Main Street cafe has been named the region’s best brunch spot.
The title was awarded after a reader vote as part of the Delicious Local campaign championed by Matt Preston.
Owner John Inserra said the cafe offered “amazing all day” breakfast.
Signature dishes included eggs Benedict and the Boyz Breakie – eggs, bacon, sausages, grilled tomato, baked beans and sourdough toast.
“Our customer service and outstanding coffee complete the picture,” Mr Inserra said.
During the 2020 lockdown the businesses stayed open by serving take away coffee and meals from the venue and created an online service for delivery.
Mr Inserra said the summer closure of Main Street to allow for more outdoor dining had been a huge hit with customers.
“The closing of Main Street created a fantastic vibe and environment for Mornington,” he said.
“Local and tourists were able to enjoy the summer weather, while once again being able to dine and support local restaurants.”
