THE family of a teenage boy who died in an accident at Frankston City Motorcycle Park have urged witnesses to come forward and help police with their investigation.
Sebastian D’Imperio, 16, died after an accident at the Seaford site on December 16 shortly after 1pm.
His death is the second involving a motocross rider at the track since 2015.

“It is essential that anyone at the venue on the day help the investigators,” the family said in a statement provided to the Leader.
“For the safety and wellbeing of other riders the track should remain closed until the conclusion of those investigations and any findings.”
Somerville police are preparing a report for the Coroner.
John Paul College has paid tribute to Sebastian.
“He was a caring and much-loved young man who had a deep connection to his friends and staff,” the school said in a statement.
“His friendliness and positive approach will be missed at John Paul. Our thoughts and prayers are with his parents, Astrid and Giacomo, and all his family at this most difficult time.”
In online tributes, friends said Sebastian had touched their hearts.
Mayor Colin Hampton offered his condolences to the D’Imperio family.
Cr Hampton said the council, police, the motorcycle park and Motorcycle Victoria were working together to gather all information on the tragic incident.
“Safety is a paramount priority for council, which is why we have requested the track remain temporarily closed out of respect for the family while we await reports from all relevant agencies,” Cr Hampton said.
In a statement, the motorcycle park said it would work with the relevant authorities: “FCMP will be temporarily closed while council compiles the required documentation.”
The track was closed for a lengthy period and modified after the death of Danny Edlington, 25, in a 2015 accident.
The Coroner is expected to release a finding into that death later this year.
Another rider, Bodie Tattam, 21, was left a paraplegic after an accident at the track in June, 2014, and a 12-year-old boy died following a crash in April, 2000, with the Coroner later attributing it to a faulty motorcycle.
