A worker at Target in Casey Central Shopping Centre has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The staff member last worked at the store on July 23 and weren’t symptomatic at the time, and didn’t go to any other stores in the centre before or after their shift.

Casey Central Shopping Centre Management were notified of the positive test on Monday and closed that evening for cleaning.

“Target undertook a deep clean throughout their store via a specialist contract cleaner,” a statement read.

“Over and above Government guidelines, on Monday evening, Casey Central also executed a precautionary sanitisation of all touch points and amenities throughout the Centre, prior to the reopening of trade.”

Casey Central said if anyone is feeling unwell, or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, they should follow advise from authorities and get tested and self-isolate.
