A teenage girl has been left “traumatised” after she was savagely beaten by a group of youths in a horrific school bashing.

Hampton Park father Sam, who didn’t want his surname published, said his 13-year-old daughter was “senselessly beaten” by a group of youths at St Francis Xavier Beaconsfield College on Tuesday, May 19.

The footage, which was uploaded to social media on Friday, has sparked outrage within the Cardinia and Casey communities.

“My daughter was approached at lunchtime by a group of Sudanese girls, and they started kicking her and she fell to the ground. They then started stomping on her head, it was horrific,” the father said.

“My daughter is too scared to go back to school now and she has been getting threats from the girls that they will go after her again,” he said.

He said his daughter had been left with several injuries as a result of the attack.

“A lot of her hair was pulled out, she had severe bruising, a concussion and she’s just not coping,” he said.

The father said he reported the incident to police and the school.

“I’m very frustrated because nothing is being done about these girls and I’m scared they will attack someone else for no reason,” he said.

“This is happening far too often in the schoolyard and it needs to stop now.”

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said police had spoken to a 12-year-old girl after an alleged assault which occurred at a school in Beaconsfield on Tuesday, May 19.

She was released pending further enquiries and the investigation remains ongoing.

A St Francis Xavier Beaconsfield College spokeswoman said there was a confrontation between several students that was verbal and physical in nature.

“Our highest priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our students. On the day of the incident, staff responded quickly to restore calm,” the spokeswoman said.
