It’s a Ballam Park recruiting bonanza.

The Knights will joust for finals in 2020-21 after securing 10 new players.

Former Seaford Tigers coach Anthony Joel has joined as captain, and will bat in the top order.

David Cross, a former Ballam Park captain-coach, is returning after a playing with Moorabbin West last season.

Also returning are paceman Mark Miller, once rated as the best young bowler on the peninsula, and all-rounder Michael Casey.

Luke Wenke, an opening batsman from Coomoora in the DDCA, will also add strength to the batting line-up, as will Tom Jewell, from Devon Meadows.

Anthony Joel plays a straight bat for Seaford Tigers against Mt Martha in 2015. He will skipper Ballam Park in 2020-21.

Another ex-Coomoora player Tim Bacic will bolster the bowling ranks.

Other additions are Nathan Lynch (Carrum Downs), Dean Lefebvre (Baxter) and Daniel Edwards-Fisk (Pines).

Ballam Park is also hoping to sign promising Berwick Springs batsman Brayden Tisdale.

The Knights have retained key men Matt Eager, Zac Clements and Jay Yates.

Keen to change things up as it continues a new era, the club is considering playing its First XI games on its adjoining ground at Ballam Park next season.

Ballam Park made a fresh start back in MPCA Sub District last season after facing an uncertain future two years ago and dropping back to A1 grade.
