Shocking strip club attack caught on video

BRUTAL footage has emerged of two strip club bouncers punching and kicking drunk patrons to the ground after they were ejected from the Dandenong venue.

The sickening vision shows the security guards ramming one of the men headfirst into a brick wall, repeatedly kicking him as he lay on the ground, and leaving the other apparently unconscious before dragging him to the footpath.

The violent assault came after the two men were kicked out of the Sin City Gentlemen’s Club in Langhorne St on December 16 last year.

One of the bouncers, Reza Yazdan Parast, 32, on Wednesday pleaded guilty to unlawful assault and affray.

He walked from court without conviction and will have to serve 225 hours of community service.

Dandenong Magistrates’ Court heard Iranian-born Yazdan Parast, who had no previous convictions, was likely to be deported if he was sentenced to jail.

The security camera at the front of Sin City Gentlemen's Club captured the bouncers attacking two ejected punters.

The security camera video — which was played in court — showed the patrons and two bouncers shaping up to each other in the carpark for at least two minutes.

One of the patrons was holding a broken bottle and arguing with the bouncers, before the fight broke out. The other patron, wearing a white shirt, was kicked to the ground then thrown against the wall.

The bouncers then repeatedly punched, held down and kicked the first victim, who was wearing a dark shirt.

When his friend stood up and approached to help, the other bouncer — who is yet to face court — knocked him to the ground.

Yazdan Parast and the other bouncer eventually dragged one victim to the street, while an unknown third man appears to join in the attack, punching and kicking the victims.

The unknown man seemed to help the man on the ground to his feet, but then punches him.

That victim again gets to his feet and tries to support his friend on the footpath as the bouncers stand over them.

The attack came after an argument with two patrons who had been kicked out of the club.

One of the victims’ mothers came to the scene and took the two men home before they were taken by ambulance to Dandenong Hospital, where they were treated for cuts and grazes.

Defence counsel Ian Crisp, representing Yazdan Parast, argued his client was acting in self defence.

He said Yazdan Parast feared for his life as one of the men evicted from Sin City was wielding a broken bottle and threatening the security guards.

He said his client tried to stay calm initially but conceded he went “too far” and got carried away in the attack.

Mr Crisp said his client had no previous convictions and was a low risk of reoffending.

He said his client had been on a bridging visa since fleeing Iran to Australia in 2013. He left his home country because he was blackmailed by his former father in law, who ordered him to pay a $350,000 dowry for the wedding and tried to recruit him into the secret police, Mr Crisp said.

One man was left apparently unconscious during the attack.

Yazdan Parast was now engaged to a new fiancee — who supported him in court — and living in Narre Warren, where he was hoping to apply for a protection visa.

Magistrate Jack Vandersteen said that Yazdan Parast would have faced a four-month jail term if he had not pleaded guilty.

That would almost certainly have resulted in him ending up in immigration detention and being kicked out of Australia, the magistrate said.

Mr Vandersteen said Yazdan Parast was in a position of responsibility, was physically more powerful than his two victims and that there needed to be a strong consideration of deterring such offences.

The other bouncer is due to appear in court later this month.
