Police are investigating a potential crime scene near a popular Frankston eatery after a body was discovered in waters off Seaford early on Friday.

A body has been discovered in waters of Seaford and police are investigating a potential crime scene near a popular Frankston restaurant.
Emergency services were to a site close to Nepean Highway, Seaford about 6.55am on Friday after the body was found.
Following the discovery, a line search was conducted along Long Island Drive, Frankston near Waves on the Beach.
The Herald Sun understands SES volunteers were called in to help police and protect blood at the scene from the rain.
A police spokeswoman said it was not known yet if the death was suspicious, and the person was yet to be formally identified.
The investigation remained ongoing.
