A boy bitten by a police dog earlier this week was charged along with three other teens after a 90-minute chase in an allegedly stolen ute.

Four boys, aged 13 to 15, were allegedly involved in a pursuit early Tuesday morning that came to a head in Glen Waverley.

Police were first alerted to an allegedly stolen orange Isuzu D-Max at Box Hill about midnight.

It was alleged stolen from a Coldstream address last week.

The ute attended a Canterbury Rd service station before a worker notified police.

The ute was then spotted on Wellington Rd near the Monash Fwy about 12.35am before it was tracked, from the police helicopter, to Pakenham.

Stop sticks were successfully deployed on the Fwy at Glen Iris about 2am before a pursuit began and a second round of stop sticks were used.

The ute crashed into a tree at a slow speed on Springvale Rd, Glen Waverley.

Four male teens dumped the car and allegedly attempted to flee the scene on foot.

Three boys, aged 13, 14, and 15 were arrested nearby.

A second 13-year-old was found hiding nearby a short time later by a Dog Squad unit.

He sustained a dog bite while allegedly attempting to resist arrest and was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

He was charged by police late Wednesday.

Three boys were charged with theft of motor vehicle and bailed to appear before a children’s court at a later date.

The fourth is expected to appear before a children’s court on summons.

Further charges are expected to be laid in relation to the driving offences.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, has CCTV/dashcam footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
