Cranbourne East man charged over Dingley Village collision that left pedestrian with serious head injury

A Cranbourne East man has been charged after a collision in Dingley Village left a pedestrian in a critical condition.

A Cranbourne East man has been charged after allegedly causing a collision that left a pedestrian in a critical condition.

The 50-year-old allegedly crashed into the back of a parked car, which subsequently struck a pedestrian in Dingley Village`.

Ambulance officers attended the scene on Mornington Peninsula Freeway on September 12, where the 23-year-old Cranbourne man was rushed to The Alfred with a serious head injury.

The patient remains in a critical but stable condition.

The driver was also taken to hospital under police guard.

After a public appeal for witness of the driver in a Toyota Yaris prior to the collision, police charged the man with dangerous driving causing serious injury on September 13.

The man will appear at Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court on September 20.
