Tributes are flowing for a mother and her unborn baby killed in a horror crash in Pakenham South.

The Leader can reveal Tess Clark, 34, and her unborn baby Asher, were tragically killed after her silver SUV allegedly collided head-on with a white utility on Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Rd about 8am on February 4.

Her two passengers, both young children, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital as a precaution.

A gofundme page, set up by Dani Holliday, to assist Ms Clark’s husband and two sons has raised more than $6000.

“Tess leaves behind her two beautiful young sons Hunter, 5 and Archie, 3, and her loving husband and best friend Shane. Tess and Shane were high school sweethearts, who adored each other, they were soulmates,” Ms Holliday wrote on the fundraiser page.

“Tess was a proud and devoted mother who loved her boys more than anything on this earth. “She would do anything for her family, and always put their needs before her own. Hunter and Archie adored their Mum, and she them.”

Melissa Tansey, a close friend of Ms Clark, posted a moving tribute to Facebook on Friday saying she was “lost for words” from the tragic loss.

“Tess Clark I am broken. You played such a massive part in my life for the past 19 years. I just cannot believe you won’t be here any more,” she wrote.

“You were not only my best friend, you were my soulmate and my sister.”

“I don't know what to do with out you.

“I will love you forever …”

“Rest in peace lover and to my beautiful nephew who didn’t get a chance to live.

“Tess Clark 13.06.86 – 04.02.21. Asher Clark 04.02.21 born sleeping.”

The tragedy has shocked the Cardinia community, with Ms Clark being remembered as a “wonderful person”, who was dearly loved by family and friends.

Dozens of people also commented on Ms Tansey’s Facebook post expressing their condolences.

One woman wrote: “She wasn’t just your best friend she was your sister and soulmate and my heart breaks for you.”

The male driver of the utility was flown to hospital and remains in a critical condition.

Investigators have been told the white utility collided with several other vehicles prior to the head-on collision, causing minor damage to those vehicles.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and it remains ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or with dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
