Pakenham South: Man critical after horrific collision on Healesville- Koo Wee Rup Rd
A scooter rider has been rushed to hospital after a shocking hit-and-run in Pakenham South. It comes after two fatal collisions on nearby roads within a week.

A scooter rider is in critical condition after a horror hit-and-run collision in Pakenham South.
Police located a scooter rider unresponsive at the intersection of Healesville-Koo Wee Rup and Ballarto roads in Pakenham South just before 7pm.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said it was believed the scooter rider was travelling south on Koo Wee Rup Rd when a vehicle (B) overtook the scooter and another car (A).
“At the same time car B was overtaking, car A attempted to overtake the scooter but swerved back in and struck the back of the scooter causing it to crash,” the spokeswoman said.
Both cars, which police do not have descriptions for at this stage, continued on after the collision and police are keen to speak to the drivers of both vehicles.
The male scooter rider was flown to hospital in a critical condition.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said one man appeared to be in critical condition, with Air Ambulance dispatched to assist.
Pakenham SES liaison unit spokesman Shayne Honey said SES crews been requested to assist Victoria Police at the scene of a serious crash in Pakenham South.
“Crews are providing lighting at the scene to assist in the investigation,” Mr Honey said.
“The crash is the seventh serious crash we have attended since the start of 2021 and fourth on this road since October 2020.”
It comes after a man was killed after a head-on collision in Pakenham on Tuesday morning at 6am.
Paramedics were called to the multi-vehicle accident on Pakenham Rd, near Orchard Valley, where the driver of the Toyota van died at the scene about 6.30am.
Last week, a mother and her unborn baby were killed in a horror crash on Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Rd in Pakenham South about 8am on February 4.
