A major Mornington Peninsula road was blocked after a crash on Thursday.
Point Nepean Road near Truemans Road at Capel Sound was clogged with traffic as emergency services helped three people injured in an accident about 1.15pm.
According to Ambulance Victoria said a woman in her 30s was seriously injured and flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital while a school aged girl and a man in his 60s were taken to Frankston Hospital by road.
It is believed the incident involved a vehicle running into the back of another car.
A staff member from the Bayview Motel said the crash happened across the road from the business and she heard an air ambulance heading towards nearby Truemans Road Reserve.
“That’s where they go to pick up patients when there’s been a crash on Point Nepean Road,” she said.
“The car looked totalled. I hope everyone involved pulls through.”
