A woman was taken to hospital after an “unpredictable” Nintendo employee hit her twice in the head with an air fryer.

Patrice Luquet, of Noble Park, pleaded guilty at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday to unlawful assault, damaging property and tampering with a vehicle.

The court heard Luquet became angry with a woman in February, 2020.

He picked up an air fryer and hit the woman in the head with it twice.

The woman was taken to Dandenong Hospital with lacerations to her face.

On other occasions Luquet threw rubbish over the woman’s lawn, cut off her water supply and deflated all four tyres on her car.

He also punched holes in the doors and hallway walls.

The woman told police she suffered from anxiety attacks as Luquet’s behaviour was unpredictable and violent.

Luquet’s lawyer Martin Kozlowski said his client had an acquired brain injury from an accident in 1999.

“He was not taking his medication,” he said.

“He was acting quite irrational.”

Mr Kozlowsk said Luquet was using drugs at the time of his offending.

He said the man worked for Nintendo and was employed as a cleaner at a school.

Magistrate Constantinos Kilias said Luquet’s mental health issues were significant and he needed to stay away from illegal drugs.

Luquet was placed on an adjourned undertaking for a period of 12 months without conviction.
