Narre Warren man faces court after allegedly stalking Frankston girlfriend, tracking car

An accused stalker allegedly moved into a Frankston hotel 400m from his ex-partner and hacked her accounts in a twisted attempt to keep tabs on her – and then she made a terrifying discovery under the wheel of her car.

A Narre Warren man has faced court after he was charged over a number of disturbing incidents including stalking his ex-girlfriend.

An obsessive ex-boyfriend who allegedly went to extreme lengths to keep tabs on his former partner has left her in fear of her life, a court has heard.

And the “terrified” woman, who now suffers from anxiety, has been forced to move out of her Frankston home and “into hiding” as she is too afraid Brenton Roissetter will show up.

The Frankston Magistrates Court heard the Narre Warren man allegedly subjected his on-again, off-again partner of six years to abuse spanning four years, including incidents where he allegedly dragged her by the feet across the floor, accelerated his vehicle toward her, threw a lit cigarette at her, called her 41 times in 21 minutes and threatened to stomp on her head.

And Mr Roissetter’s alleged activity only amplified when the woman ended the relationship in April by packing her bags and moving out with a friend.

Frankston Senior Detective Belinda Rampal said the 30-year-old, who allegedly moved into a hotel 400m from the woman’s new house, allegedly continued to call and text her, sent her an email asking if she had received flowers he had left at her door and hacked her Telstra, EastLink and email accounts.

The woman was left petrified when she allegedly found an ice pipe belonging to Mr Roissetter in her garage and discovered he made a number of social media accounts in her name and tried to make contact with her friends.

Sen-Detective Rampal said the woman made a terrifying discovery while at work on June 3 just days after he was observed by police driving down Overton Rd allegedly carrying an ice pipe and two brand new GPS tracking devices purchased from Jaycar in Frankston.

“(The woman) went to work with concerns about (Roissetter’s) behaviour and saw a black cord under the wheel (of her vehicle),” Sen-Detective Rampal said.

“She pulled the cord and a black battery pack with a black GPS device fell out onto the ground.”

Sen-Detective Rampal said the woman didn’t know how Mr Roissetter, whose charges include stalking, found her address and that he also allegedly threatened to kill and stalked a woman he met prior to his most recent relationship.

“The accused told police he couldn’t explain a message tracker app on his phone …(and tracked EastLink) to see if (his recent partner) was OK,” she said.

Mr Roissetter’s lawyer argued that the victim’s friend told him where she lived and that it was unlikely he could have guessed passwords to all of her accounts.

“Clearly it’s a very toxic relationship,” Magistrate Ross Betts said.

“(Roissetter) has support of his family but, there’s no (bail) conditions that could be reduced to an acceptable level.”

Mr Roissetter’s bail application was denied and he will reappear via video link on July 13.
