A pregnant woman who allegedly vandalised Frankston in a bid to find the father of her child has been charged.

A police spokesperson said a 36-year-old Frankston woman was arrested today and charged with criminal damage, wilful damage, mark graffiti and commit indictable offence while on bail.

The woman, who Leader has chosen not to name, is pregnant with her second child, earlier told her Facebook friends she may have to have an emergency caesarean if her baby’s heart rate did not slow down.

The mum-to-be allegedly spraypainted messages across the suburb urging “Chris” to get in contact with her.

“I’m in hospital because I’m having contractions … how can Chris not show up,” she wrote.

“What is wrong with him … how can he just not care.”

The young woman is alleged to have covered Frankston in purple paint, with the viral messages attracting thousands of views online.

Mayor of Frankston, Michael O’Reilly, yesterday said the council had acted quickly to remove the graffiti, and would encourage those involved to “consider more constructive, and less illegal ways of communicating in the future”.

“I hope Chris and this mystery person can work through their issues, and in the future, refrain from undertaking illegal activities that bear a cost to ratepayers,” he said.

The woman uploaded an ultrasound photo taken at Frankston Hospital in May, tagging her boyfriend Chris.

“Chris you don’t look good (honey) you need to get your sh*t together (and) come home before you run yourself into (the) ground,” she wrote.

“I don’t want something to happen to you … would you call me please.”

The woman has been bailed to face Frankston Magistrates’ Court on December 13.
