A Mornington woman has been charged with dangerous driving causing death over a crash that claimed the life of a Tyabb man last Friday.
Detectives from Major Collision Investigation Unit have charged a woman over the fatal collision in Moorooduc.
It’s alleged a Ford ute and Mazda sedan collided at the intersection of Stumpy Gully and Mornington-Tyabb roads about 5.55am on June 11.
A 56-year-old Tyabb man, believed to be a passenger in the ute, died at the scene.
An 18-year-old man from Tyabb, believed to be the driver of the ute, was taken to The Alfred hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 20-year-old Mornington woman, believed to be the sole occupant of the Mazda, was also taken to The Alfred with serious injuries.
The woman has since been charged with dangerous driving causing death and has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on June 23.
