Melbourne party boy bodybuilder Michael Surace charged with ecstasy drug trafficking racket

A Melbourne party boy linked to the bodybuilding scene was allegedly caught dealing ecstasy, meth and anabolic steroids.

A bodybuilding party boy suspected of dealing ecstasy, heroin and meth has been unmasked as the alleged drug king of Melbourne’s southeast.

Michael Surace, 38, fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of ecstasy.

Mr Surace was hit with 85 charges after police swooped and arrested the suspected drug kingpin on November 6 last year.

Cops raided Mr Surace’s Dandenong North home and a Vermont East storage unit allegedly linked to the accused drug dealer.

Specialist police allegedly seized multiple guns and weapons and various drugs from both locations.

Mr Surace, who was also charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of meth and heroin, was allegedly pinched with seven unregistered firearms, ammo, an imitation gun, nunchucks, knuckledusters and two tasers.

Mr Surace, who was also charged with trafficking ketamine, cocaine and anabolic steroids, was also allegedly caught with a plethora of assorted drugs, including Xanax, ecstasy, heroin, meth, Valium and Oxycodone.

Police also allegedly seized various steroids, illicit substances and restricted prescription medication including body shaping/cutting medication clenbuterol.

Mr Surace, who was also charged with trafficking Boldenone and synthetic MDMA-mirror drug Pentylone, was also allegedly pinched with Anafranil, moduretic, septanest, ephedrine, Temazepam and testosterone.

It’s alleged Mr Surace was also caught with schedule 4 poisons including pseudoephedrine and licocaine.

Mr Surace, who was also charged with dealing with the proceeds of crime and multiple firearm and drug possession offences, was also allegedly done with $21,985 cash.

Mr Surace was also allegedly nabbed with various passports, ID documents, bank cards and driver’s licences suspected of being the proceeds of crime.

Mr Surace is believed to be hooked into Melbourne’s dance club party scene and bodybuilding network.

Mr Surace has also shared, via social media, music sets recorded at South Yarra trance nightclub institution The Viper Room.

Mr Surace, who appeared via videolink, was remanded to front court at a later date.
