Man wanted following attempted armed robbery at Capel Sound store
A suspected gunman is at large following an attempted armed robbery on the Mornington Peninsula.

A man believed to be wielding a gun is on the run after an attempted armed robbery in Capel Sound.
The unknown man approached the counter at a store on Illaroo St about 12pm on April 2 and produced a dark-colours firearm from his pants.
The man allegedly pointed the firearm at a shop assistant and made demands for cash but fled empty-handed when the staff member triggered an audible alarm.
The man was last seen walking south along Boneo Rd in Rosebud about 10 minutes after the incident.
Mornington Peninsula crime investigation unit detectives are investigating whether the weapon was an imitation firearm.
Investigators have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to hep with their inquiries.
The man is described as about 180cm tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket with a brown fur hood and a white ‘FOX’ motif on the back and front.
