THERE’S a group of people in Frankston who love a yarn or two and what a story they’ve got to tell.
Members of the Knit-A-Row-And-Go (KARAG) group reckon their plan to knit the world’s biggest tea cosy is all stitched up.
Supporter Di MacDonald said the tea cosy would be about 5m high and 20m in circumference, with a replica metal teapot built to scale to show off the tea cosy in all its glory.

Members get together at Frankston’s Dava Thai restaurant to swap yarns and knit squares for the project.
Restaurant owner Mandy Lingard said people of all ages were involved and she encouraged others to join them.
“Enjoy knitting leisurely while here, with the yarn and needles provided for the next person to continue,” she said.
Ms MacDonald said the tea cosy would be ‘deconstructed’ after completion to be used as rugs and distributed by Community Support Frankston to the homeless.
