A Clyde North woman was so enraged by the sight of a four-man strong gang robbing a school food truck, she chased the getaway car.
Rachel Anderson was driving past St Peter’s College in Clyde North at 1.35pm on Wednesday when she witnessed two food trucks being held up by knife-wielding thugs.
She said she was “furious” seeing the four youths, one armed with a large kitchen knife, threaten workers inside two Tasty Food Trucks.

“It was just so shocking – how dare they do this in our neighbourhood? It just made me so furious and I wanted to catch them,” she said.
Ms Anderson said she immediately called the police and tried to chase the robbers but they were too fast.
“They drove so fast onto Berwick-Cranbourne Rd – they must’ve been flying because I lost them pretty fast,” Ms Anderson said.
“I then went to my doctor appointment and came back an hour later and spoke to police on the scene.”
She said the neighbourhood was becoming increasingly unsafe.
“Bottle shops have been robbed in the past few weeks and we just keep seeing more and more crime on social media.”
Tasty Trucks spokeswoman Karen Pereira said the company was extremely proud of how staff handled the situation.
“We’re giving them every possible support that we possibly can and it’s just a very sad and unfortunate incident – we hope no one else has to go through this,” Ms Pereira said.
She said the company encouraged the employees to take time off, but they had chosen to attend work accompanied by someone at all times.
A Victoria Police spokesman said Cranbourne police were investigating.
