Kmart lovers flock to @i_heart_kmart Instagram fan page to celebrate bargain buys

KMART is so hot right now — and doesn’t Helen James know it. What started as a hobby and a love for the bargain chain has turned into one of the top Instagram Kmart fan pages in Australia.

WHAT started as a hobby and a love for Kmart has turned into an Instagram page with a 100,000 strong following.

Frankston mum Helen James began taking pictures of her favourite things from Kmart and posting them on Instagram and Facebook.

Now the @i_heart_kmart Instagram account has more than 101,000 people following it — making it one of the top three most popular Kmart fan pages in Australia.

How Kmart made cheap cheerful again

“I’m simply just a lover of Kmart stuff, especially the homewares, so I just started this account a couple of years ago and it took off,” Mrs James told the Leader.

And she’s not alone; @smithsholidayroad is a travel blog run by a Seaford mum who travels with her family, including her son who uses a wheelchair. It now has 10,800 followers on Instagram.

Another travel blogger is @mumwithwings, started by a Mornington mum, who has 26,300 people following.
