A Windsor woman who fired a sawn off shotgun inside a small bedroom has been busted with an illegal weapon for the second time.
Kayla Tsesmetzis, 22, pleaded guilty in the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on May 6 to 11 charges, including recklessly discharging a firearm putting another person in danger of death.
The court heard in September 2022, police found a mobile phone in an unrelated raid on a Keysborough home, with a video of Tsesmetzis sitting on a bed holding a sawn off shotgun.
In the footage, Tsesmetzis fired the gun inside the small bedroom, where at least two other people were present.
Police nabbed Tsesmetzis in the video because of a unique tattoo on her left forearm.
Tsesmetzis was not done with weapons and was caught just seven months later with an extendible baton.
The court heard Tsesmetzis was driving in Box Hill South on March 30 last year when she failed to pull over when flashed by cops.
After evading police, Tsesmetzis pulled into Bennet St in Forest Hill, where she attempted to flee on foot.
Police caught up to her and searched the car, finding a black extendible baton in the driver’s side door.
It was also revealed she was driving unlicensed on a cancelled learner’s permit.
Tsesmetzis will return to Dandenong court on May 23 for sentencing.
