An accused pervert was so plastered he can’t recall allegedly attending a woman’s house, grabbing her breast and spanking her buttocks, a court has heard.
Jackson Hume began his application for bail at the Frankston Magistrates’ Court on Monday, but the online link ran out of time so his case was adjourned.
The 25-year-old Pearcedale concreter is contesting the charges and has been remanded in custody.
The court heard Mr Hume allegedly went to the home of a woman, late at night earlier this year and asked her to call him a taxi.
She let him inside but then he allegedly took his clothes off, showed her his genitalia and allegedly told her “you want it, you want it”.
She repeatedly told him to get dressed and leave, but he allegedly slapped the woman on her buttocks and groped her breast.
She Facetimed her daughter, who allegedly saw Mr Hume naked in her mum’s house and also told him to get dressed and leave.
He then allegedly helped himself to some of the woman’s food, picked up a screwdriver and said “I could stab you”.
The woman responded by getting a kitchen knife and he put the screwdriver down.
He then allegedly dressed himself and left.
Police arrested him nearby, but he was unfit to be interviewed due to his heavily alcohol-affected state.
He later told officers he didn’t remember what had happened.
Mr Hume is also accused of breaking into a Seaford car recycling premises while off his head on Xanax in July last year.
And he is alleged to have been caught behind the wheel of an unregistered, unroadworthy car while driving unlicensed and then refusing to take a breath test.
He has also been accused of stealing number plates and being in possession of stolen bank cards.
His mother, Suzanne Stone, told the court her son had been stabbed which caused him anxiety and led him to self-medicate with alcohol.
Defence lawyer Tim Smurthwaite said his client was disputing some of the charges and there was no corroboration to prove he had groped the woman.
Mr Hume will resume his bail application on October 5.
