Harris Scarfe: Stores to open in Frankston, Carnegie
A much-loved Aussie retailer is set to open two new stores in Melbourne’s southeast, with bargains on offer for shoppers.

Two new look Harris Scarfe stores are set to open their doors to customers.
The Harris Scarfe Home concept stores will open in Frankston and Carnegie on Thursday, offering a refreshed layout, with more room for home living, fashion and designer collaborations.
The 170-year-old retail chain was placed into receivership in January, with 21 stores closing across Australia, including three in Victoria, resulting in hundreds of job losses.
The Spotlight Group acquired Harris Scarfe in early 2020 and Frankston and Carnegie represent the latest stores under the new ownership.
There have been 40 jobs created at the Frankston store (four of which were transfers) and 16 at Carnegie.
Styling expert and author Chyka Keebaugh will officially open the Frankston store at 9am before a meet and greet with local shoppers.
Entertainment will be provided by DJ George and shoppers can enjoy free coffee and doughnuts from Brew Up Bar and Candy Cafe.
At the Carnegie opening, shoppers can enjoy grand opening savings of 40-60 per cent off all homewares and manchester and 20-30 per cent off all electrical goods, as well as a ribbon-cutting ceremony, live entertainment and free coffee from Bean to Coffee.
Harris Scarfe chief executive Graham Dean said: “We are proudly Australian, trading for over 170 years, and we are very excited for this new chapter in our history with the opening of two new metropolitan Melbourne stores in Carnegie and Frankston.”
The Frankston store is at the Power Centre, 111 Cranbourne Rd (corner of Moorooduc Highway) and the Carnegie store is based at Carnegie Central, 2/20 Koornang Rd.
