MADE at an industrial site in Dandenong South, Golden Axe’s latest creation sounds more at home on a tropical island.

The Pash Ma Cobana cider has been specially created for the Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular.

Combining passionfruit, coconut extract, mango and banana juice, the cider is designed to be summery and refreshing, Golden Axe co-owner Callum Reeves said.

“The inspiration was really to do something tropical and to keep it interesting and fun, with something that’s a bit experimental,” he said.

The cider will follow in the same theme as their beer, the Kaiju Crush tropical pale ale.

The brewers have previously picked up three top 10 finishes in the GABS people’s choice awards.

The festival is being held at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton on May 19.
