Cranbourne’s most expensive street has been revealed, unveiling a quiet, park backed street as the top earner in the fast growing southeastern suburb.

Galway Place, tucked away at the end of Cherryhills Drive, topped the list of the 44 streets in Cranbourne, beating the second most expensive street by $4000 on house price medians.

According to the most recent information from SuburbTrends, Galway Place is Cranbourne’s most expensive street with a median house price of $938,000.

The street, backing onto the leafy Brookland Greens Reserve, is home to 14 houses, with the most recent home selling for $890,000 in February 2023.

Casey real estate agent and area specialist Hardeep Singh said Cranbourne was an interesting area for homebuyers in what they look for.

“Cranbourne as an area is huge, Cranbourne Central has been growing since the 1980s, Cranbourne North has been growing over the last ten years and now the southern, eastern and western parts of the suburb are being developed more and more,” he said.

“We are seeing first and second home buyers more so than investors looking to buy in the area.”

Mr Singh said the wider streets, newer builds and larger plots of land were big draw cards for young families moving into the area.

“Everybody wants something different, whether it is inside or outside the house,” he said.

“Cranbourne is an area that gives people options with houses, schools, activities and other facilities like shopping and public transport.”

Other honourable mentions in the top 20 most expensive streets in the area include Firestone Green, with a median house price of $934,000, Atlanta Glen ($930,000), Snead Boulevard ($929,500), and Prestwick Green ($929,000).

The top five streets mentioned above are all within a 3km radius of Galway Place, mostly making their way off Cherryhills Drive.

SuburbTrends is a dataset that compiles a list of the most expensive streets to the least in each suburb, using an automated valuation model to estimate the value of each house in a street.

The model uses data from the surrounding streets, and excludes any streets with few than five computer-generated estimates.
