IT appears Hawthorn Football Club’s biggest supporter ahead of tomorrow’s AFL Grand Final resides in Frankston.
Cheeky locals have turned the giant Peninsula Link gnome into a huge Hawk fan, draping a brown and gold jersey over the polarising 9m sculpture.
The Hawks will go head to head with the West Coast Eagles in the grand final at the MCG tomorrow.
The chrome gnome has divided Frankston residents, some expressing affection, while others distaste at the towering chrome feature, which was installed three months ago.

But it hasn’t stopped people having some fun with it.
Some locals put garden gnomes at the foot of the structure, creating a little “gnome army”.

The gnome also had itself an added appendage, with another person using alfoil to create a male member in between its legs.
Leader has been told the jersey is currently being removed by contractors.
