Four men arrested after dramatic car chase from Dandenong to Malvern

A dramatic car chase — involving two cars, popped tyres and a midnight dash through the south eastern suburbs — has ended with four men being arrested.

A dramatic police chase, spanning from Dandenong to Malvern East, has ended in four arrests.

Officers spotted a silver Holden Calais, believed to be involved in a car theft, driving erratically on Abbotts Rd in Dandenong at midnight on Monday.

The car kept driving after its tyres were popped before dumping the vehicle in a Cranbourne carpark.

The occupants jumped inside another car and took off.

The car was spotted allegedly speeding along the Peninsula Link Fwy, running red lights along Dandenong Rd and driving in the wrong direction of traffic on the Monash Fwy.

The car was dumped on the Monash Fwy, Malvern East and four men were arrested at the scene.

Two men were taken to hospital for treatment, where one remains under police guard.

The other three men were taking into police custody and will be interviewed.
