A Pakenham teenager has been identified as the person killed in a horror crash in Devon Meadows on Tuesday.

Investigators were told the collision between a ute and a truck happened on Fisheries Rd near the intersection with North Rd about 3pm on Tuesday.

Up to five emergency service units attended the scene.

Police said the male driver of the ute, a 19-year-old man from Pakenham, died at the scene and the male driver of the truck was taken to The Alfred hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Fisheries Rd between North Rd and South Gippsland Highway was blocked in both directions following the crash.
