Elderly woman crashes into Mornington Peninsula childcare centre

An elderly woman has crashed her car into a Mornington Peninsula childcare centre.

An elderly woman has crashed her car into the steps of a childcare centre on the Mornington Peninsula.

It is believed the female driver was pulling into a carpark on Edward St, Somerville when she crashed into steps outside a recreation centre about 10.30am.

No children, or the 82-year-old Frankston driver were injured.

Somerville Highway Patrol spoke to the woman, who will undergo a licence review.

The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
