Police will prepare a report for the coroner after a car accident claimed the life of a man on the Mornington Peninsula on Thursday morning.

It is believed a man aged in his 70s was driving a car in Rosebud about 6am when it rolled into a fence at the intersection of Woods Street and Ninth Avenue

The man died at the scene.

Police also attended another crash in Hastings early Thursday morning.

A police spokeswoman said the accident involved a collision between two cars on Graydens Road, near the Coolart Road roundabout.

She said there were no serious injuries.
