A MAGISTRATE has banned a motoring “menace” from the road for 10 years after he recorded yet another drug or drink-driving crime.
The 54-year-old grandfather was told he shouldn’t be allowed to ever drive again, and was warned even if he reapplied for his licence, it would likely be refused.
Bradley Paul Mason pleaded guilty to drug-driving at Frankston Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

He has seven similar priors dating back 26 years.
The court heard he was seen by police in a Seaford Hotel car park at around 3.35pm on January 8 this year.
They were suspicious, and pulled him up for a chat.
They found he had been banned for 34 months for drink-driving way back in 1992, and had never had a licence since.
They tested him for alcohol, and he passed, but a drug test proved positive for cannabis.
He told officers he had smoked a joint a couple of days before, and didn’t believe it would still be in his system.
The Dandenong South warehouse packer told them it was his first day of work and he had slept in so needed to drive.
The car was impounded for 30 days.
In court it was revealed the car wasn’t his, it belonged to a friend.
Mason gave the $1000 impound release fee to the mate whose car it was, only for him to do a runner with the cash and leave the car abandoned in a police holding yard.
His defence lawyer said he accepted he had a poor driving history and had used public transport to get around for years.
Magistrate Rodney Crisp said Mason was “stoned every day, obviously” and it was time for Mason to buy a bicycle.
“He can forget getting his licence back; he won’t get it,” Mr Crisp said.
“Seven convictions for .05 and he smokes marijuana every day, I don’t want him back on the road.
“He’d be a menace on the road; his motor skills would be shot.”
Mason was disqualified from driving for 10 years, convicted and fined $1000.
