A “hardworking family man” has been remembered by family and friends after he was tragically killed in a crash on the Mornington Peninsula.
Nathan Mcphail, 32, died when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree on Melbourne Rd in Rye about 12.15am on March 31.
Partner Krystal Pendlebury told Leader that Nathan was a “hardworking family man” who loved his three sons Riley, Brian and Nathan Junior.
“He loved being with his family, everywhere we went as a family was a special memory,” she said.
“We loved going to the aquarium, carnivals and even to the shops … as long as we were altogether it was everything to him.”
Ms Pendlebury said Nathan loved his sport and was a proud Collingwood supporter.
“He loved cricket and was an excellent cricket player when he was younger,” she said.
“He was also crazy about his WWE wrestling too.”
Ms Pendlebury said Nathan, who worked as a cleaner, would forever be missed.
“I’ll look after our boys and will do him proud,” she said.
“He is forever loved and so missed like crazy, forever with us and forever in me and our kids.”
Steve Jozzo said he had been friends with Nathan for more than 25 years.
“He was more like a little brother to me than a mate,” he told Leader.
“Nathan was a good bloke and a good father to his boys.
“He taught them to be young gentleman and have very polite manners.”
Mr Jozzo said Nathan loved the footy and fishing.
“I have too many good memories to list but every time we got together we wouldn’t stop laughing about them,” he said.
“He will be sadly missed, rest in peace little brother fly high.”
