Daniel Stevenson: Dad threatened to put ex and son ‘six foot under’
A Frankston father said he would kill his former partner and their four-year-old boy in a volley of violent and vile messages.

A bad dad who told his ex-partner that he would murder her and their young child because he was unhappy they had broken up is behind bars.
Daniel Stevenson also told police he would not stop until either she or he was dead.
He pleaded guilty to two threats to kill at the Frankston Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The court heard Stevenson, a Frankston 33-year-old cabinet maker, had recently separated from the woman, who is also the mother of their four-year-old boy.
She was at her home with the child on September 12 this year when Stevenson repeatedly texted and called her, leaving 27 erratic and manic messages.
Some of the alarming array of violent voicemails and texts included “f***ing run, because you’re dead”, “I’m coming for you” and “you and him are going to end up six foot under”.
He also sent her a video of himself burning her face out of a family portrait.
He then went to her house and tried to kick her door down, but left when she said she was calling the police.
As officers arrived his distinctive hotted-up Holden was heard driving past.
Stevenson was later tracked down and arrested.
Even then he didn’t back down, telling cops she will “burn to the ground”, calling her “the c***”, who had “f***ed with his head” and saying he would continue until he killed her or himself.
The woman told police she was absolutely petrified that he would follow up with the threats and was scared for the safety of their child.
Defence lawyer Mahir Qureshi said Stevenson had never been in court before, had no criminal priors and he was getting treatment for his mental health issues.
Magistrate Julian Ayres remanded him in custody for a community corrections order assessment and he will face court again on October 27.
