A man who allegedly lured an underage girl to his house and drugged her has been charged with multiple child sex offences.

Dandenong Sexual Offence and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) detectives were notified on May 17 after a 15-year-old girl had left home to stay three nights with a 48-year-old man.

When detectives found the girl at the property, it’s alleged she had been given ice and GHB by the man and was rushed to hospital.

SOCIT investigators searched the man’s property and seized mobile phones, laptops and portable hard drives.

Drugs of dependence were also located during the search.

The Victoria Police E-Crime squad allegedly found files on the man’s storage devices and charged him with four counts of sexual penetration of a child under 16.

The man was arrested and has been remanded to appear at the County Court for a committal hearing in November.
