For Cranbourne East hairdresser Zenity Hair owner Amy Doyle, there is nothing better than making her clients feel amazing on every visit.
The Cranbourne East salon has been voted the best hairdresser in Cranbourne by Leader readers after an overwhelming from her loyal clients.
Ms Doyle, who has been a hairdresser for 20 years, told Leader she was “absolutely thrilled” to be named the winner.
“It’s pretty amazing to think I started this home salon when I was pregnant with my second child as I wanted to be at home and earn money – I’ve been able to do all the mum stuff and I’m very much part of the community,” she said.
“I think a lot of people feel very comfortable with me because I’m just very easy going and people come in here and they feel safe and people feel at home here with me.”
She said she specialised in creating vibrant rainbow hairstyles.
“I do all the vibrant and crazy colours, I do all the other stuff as well. A lot of my clients see what I do with my colours and they take a little step into it and then they go a little bit more.
“People love the rainbow colours, they get heaps of compliments and it really makes them feel good.”
Ms Doyle said she the most rewarding aspect of her job was the connection she made with her clients.
“This is a safe place for people – they open up to you and that is the special part of it.
“I’m absolutely humbled to be named the winner and I want to thank everyone in my community because it’s them that spread my word when I first started my business – there’s a whole team behind me supporting me.”
