PEOPLE living in a Cranbourne street are so worried about rising crime they’ve armed themselves with weapons.
A story on A Current Affair tonight reveals a group called the “No Fear” gang are patrolling the streets at night, on the lookout for burglars and suspicious activity.
They’ve armed themselves with weapons including crossbows, bow and arrows, baseball bats, and nun-chucks.

One man known as ‘Joe’ said: “I patrol with my bow and my arrows. We are all of the same opinion, if we catch them, we’re going to deal with them ourselves.
“I’ll gladly go and sit in a cell, if that’s what I have to do. If it means that it’s going to stop people coming around to our houses and terrorising us, and it means I’ve got to go and is in a jail cell, so be it, I’ll set the example.
“I don’t want to maim somebody, but I have to because they’re not going to learn any other way. And something with this sort of power, is going to make them realise the mistake that they’ve made, if they live through it.
“ I’ve used it before. And I’ll use it again. I’ve shot at two people in the backyard before, and I’ve shot at a car that was at the premises that should not have been at the premises.”
The full story can be seen on A Current Affair at 7pm tonight on Channel 9.
