A dog groomer has faced court after a police raid uncovered a dozen different kinds of illegal drugs scattered around her Frankston house.
Ceanne Harris, who used to be a vet nurse, said the drugs were for her personal use.
The 40-year-old single mum pleaded guilty to a plethora of possession charges at Frankston Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The court heard police went to her Frankston house in December last year after a tip-off there were dodgy drugs inside.
Harris was open with officers, pointing out some of the drugs and where they were located.
All up, 12 different types of substances were found.
They were ketamine, ice, magic mushrooms, GHB, LSD, amphetamines, cannabis and a range of prescription pills and powders not in her name.
She said they were all for her own use, although some of them had been left behind by a former partner and she hadn’t got around to getting rid of them.
Defence lawyer Yosef Pinkus said Harris was mentally struggling at the time after being hit with a $20,000 Robodebt, which was later withdrawn, and turned to using to self-medicate.
He said she was co-operative with police, was now seeking treatment for her issues and was extremely remorseful for her crimes.
He said this was his client’s first brush with the law and there had been no offending since.
Magistrate Thomas Barrett placed Harris on a 12-month good behaviour bond with the condition she pays $600 to the court fund.
