Firefighters have battled a big blaze at a factory in Carrum Downs.
The CFA was called to a fire on Frankston Gardens Drive at 12.45am Monday, with a factory about 10 X 50 metres alight.
A CFA spokesperson said firefighters were attacking the fire both externally and internally with an advice message issued at 1.13am due to smoke in the area.
The incident was brought under control at 2am and was declared safe just before 3am.
Crews remained on scene for some time.
The cause of the fire is unknown and will be investigated today.
The CFA had six trucks on scene supported by Fire Rescue Victoria crews.
