Carrum Downs crime: Seven arrested as drugs, cash, bikes seized

A massive drug, cash and motorbike stash has been uncovered following a raid on a Carrum Downs property.
Seven people were arrested after the sting netted an alleged commercial quantity of drugs, large amount of cash, three motorbikes and an imitation firearm on Thursday.
The alleged crims — aged between 31 and 40 — included one man who made a desperate attempt to take off on his motorbike when he arrived at the scene and sighted police.
“He attempted to flee but was arrested nearby,” A Victoria Police spokeswoman said.
A 34-year-old Patterson Lakes man was charged with drug and driving offences and had his motorbike impounded for a month.
A Sandhurst man, 40, Mount Evelyn man, 36, and Carrum Downs man, 31, were all charged with drug offences and bailed to appear at court at a later date.
A Carrum Downs man and woman, aged 33 and 30, remain in custody assisting police while a Sandhurst woman, 38, was released pending further inquiries.
