A sickening sex pest is on the run after targeting a group of teenage girls at Brighton beach.

Bayside Sex Offender Registry detectives were told the mystery man approached the group of three and made sexual comments as they sat at the beach boxes about 3.15pm on Sunday.

It’s believed the creep then went behind the boxes where he stripped his pants and re-emerged with his genitalia exposed.

“He was last seen walking towards Brighton Beach train station … it’s believed he was wearing his pants at that time,” A Victoria Police spokesman said.

The man has been described as being aged in his 50s, tall with a slim build.

At the time of the offence he was wearing short blue shorts with a white floral motif, and white or grey T-shirt with a cap and glasses.

Police urge anyone who was in area at the time and may be able to assist police with their enquiries to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
