A group of seven youths who were packed into the car ran from the scene but were stopped nearby by officers and arrested.

They included an 18-year-old Cranbourne man, who was charged with a series of alleged offences including aggravated home invasion, intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury, and car theft.

The man was remanded and faced the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday night.

Three girls, aged 14, 15 and 16, were each charged with alleged car theft and will face a children’s court at a later date.

Three boys, aged 15, 16 and 17, were charged with a series of alleged offences including aggravated home invasion, intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury, and car theft.

The 17-year-old boy was also charged with alleged dangerous driving offences.
